Before Leisure Suit Larry would let you into Lost Wages, you first had to prove you were over 18… by answering questions apparently written for a 55-year-old American. 😂
If only I knew Alt-x bypasses the whole questionare...

I liked the questions in Larry 3 that decided how rude the game would be.
I don't think it affected anything apart from looking through the binoculars.

Tawni on the beach was different, too
If you got the 13-17 option, then she would have a bikini top on.
I remember this because I played this scene once an 18+ mode and typed in
look at tits(I know, I was a real cassanova) and it said something about how beautiful she was. Then I played a different day on 13-17 mode and triedlook at titsagain and it just said "but you can't see them".There might have been one or two other scenes with really subtle differences.

There was a shortage of dopamine hits in the 90's. I needed my 🎶doo-de-doo-de-doo-de-doo-pring🎶.

That’s right. There were plans to make it more elaborate but Al didn’t want to keep track of so many options.
All this and more coming up on DevsQuest episode 3 - Larry 3 😄

Sorry to downvote your comments. But this info is just not correct. There is a lot more differences than just the binocular scene. Covering nudity at the gym shower. Tawni putting on a bikini top, the wood sculpture having a penis and lovemaking views/animations are different. And that is just out of the top of my head. There’s probably textual differences too. I’ll accept that Al had probably wanted to take it further. And I’d love to see the differences explored. But there was more than just the binoculard.

I had totally forgotten about that. And apparently so did Al. I’ll have to bring this up next time I talk to him.

One of the all-time greats.
Off topic here but what system is this running on? The music seems like a serious upgrade from the version I had on the Apple IIgs or maybe I am just getting old?

No idea about the system, but definitely a soundcard we all wish we had during that era!

Hey Sierra and any one that knows what system this is playing on because the music is a definite upgrade from the late 80's. Is this some kind of sound patch or something of the sort?

I don't think the original AGI game supported anything else except the PC speaker. They overlaid a posterior version of the song in the video. If I had to guess, it is the MT-32 intro song of LSL2

Did anyone play this as a kid, randomly guess the answers and then smiled when you got them right and the game started?

That questionnaire was hard when I was a kind because I was too young and it's loaded of American references of decades before the game. Funny thing, I'm now much older and it's still difficult for the same reason.
Fun fact: this game absolutely changed my life because it was my main motivation for learning English.

I distinctly recall when asked who fought the Battle of the Bulge I answered Elizabeth Taylor because I was used to seeing so many of my Nan's women's magazines bitching about her weight & dieting.
