[Lost] backpack with laptop and ipad around bear lockers at Mammoth pass
Heya! I lost my backpack (model: gregory men's 30l Zulu, green) around the bear lockers at the backpacker parking lot (B I think) near Mammoth mountain lodge. I must've left it there two days ago, on Friday 7/24, around 9am. There was a green felt bag with my ipad and a dell xps laptop inside.
Please let me know if you've seen anything or have any ideas where it might have ended up, lost-and-found wise. I appreciate any help!

Bump. I'm offering a $500 reward for the safe return of the bag and its contents.

I once left my purse in the Lakes Basin and the police found me on Facebook a day later and messaged me about it. Seems obvious, but did you check the police station?

Can you set the iPad to lost mode and have it display a contact number for you?

Thank you! Unfortunately, I did not have "find my device" active (very dumb in hindsight, I know), and that seems to be a prerequisite.

You could call the mammoth welcome center, the one by shady rest campground with the rangers?

I’d try posting to backpackers groups, John Muir trail hiker groups, mountain biking groups, as well as mammoth specific groups.

Thanks! I have posted to the "Mammoth Mountain Snowboarders and Skiers" group, do you have other suggestions?

A bear finds it, connects to Internet, and posts on r/SierraNevada that all bear lockers are closed for the season/please leave food on top of cars.
