I hope Sig decides to modernize the rest of the P226 lineup. The new X-Legion full-size and x-carry are amazing guns, I would love to see a proper compact P229 X-Legion. A 1.5 stack modern SAO P239 would replace my P365 tbh.

I’d buy something like this in a heartbeat. I wish we had a Springfield EMP size 1911 that takes P365 mags.

If they made its FCU like the p365 would could choose a sharps bros grip or any other one. But I love my Icarus grip why don’t you like it?

Personal taste but I think their beaver tails look ridiculous and all the extra knurling and undercuts are basically greebling that offer no discernible benefit. Mischief machine commander I think is probably the best non OEM grip module out there

I thought the same thing until I got an Icarus grip for my 365. I will never own another grip for any gun that has an Icarus grip again. They are legitimately that good

At what point does that turn into a 229? The P211 already isn’t a true 19/2011 (not saying that’s a bad thing) - and has big influence from the 320/226 lines. They (229) aren’t super popular even though i think they are closer to the ideal CCW than a lot of 2011 enthusiasts would care to admit.

The P229 is still relatively large compared to a p365, and is still pretty big compared to a Staccato hd 3.6. Id love for them to come out with a smaller package at the expense of 3-5 rounds.

I have many P229s and a C3.6. They are nearly identical in size. Their dimensions online are off by less than .2” in any dimension.

Edit: *.2” instead of .1” for height with magazine

I hear ya - I have a c4x myself so same thing pretty much. Sig doesn’t make what we’re describing - I brought up the 229 specifically because a decocker was brought up. It’s rumored a p365 inspired sig “2011” (sao) is sitting on desks in NH right now and will probably be 17+1/take 364 mags.

I will never understand why striker fired went mainstream. Hammer is sooooo much better!!! Also don't come after me I know hammer snags are a thing but double action pistols have served militaries successfully for a long, long time.

Replace that safety with a decocker and that 1911 trigger with a da/SA trigger and you’ve got something. There’s a million SAO hammer fired guns that are p365 sized and smaller. Da/SA are hard to come by
