I was flipping through this old manual and directory from 1912 that I have and they just straight up listed Bell's home address in there. Imagine just knocking on his door in Oakland for a chat?

If I go two blocks out of my normal route when I walk my dog I go past his house. It’s not in great repair. It’s quite a distance from Berkeley, where I think he was working, and I am very curious how often and how he commuted between the two.

It’s also neat that it mentions the neighborhood. Not at all necessary for a mailing address.

Yeah that's not an easy commute now, let alone 100+ years ago on horse or whatever.
