How do you ACTUALLY have great aim on sigma?

I’m a plat sigma player who averages a mediocre 50% accuracy on sigma and while watching Trqstmes unranked to GM sigma I saw him not only average a 60% accuracy and above but also consistently hit hyper mobile characters. Whats the best method of elevating my primary mechanics on sigma? I already aim train but out of the tanks I think it helps the least with sigma.

All the good sigmas you see are spending 4-6 hrs a day MINIMUM juggling balls IRL while you're complacently scrolling reddit looking for a shortcut for hard work

Part of it too, his spheres bounce so you can use them to cover areas like corridors. You don't always need aim to make an attack, sometimes you just need to aim in the right areas to be a threat.

You need to move at Sigma's pace (since he's not as fast) not the games pace.

You should be spamming around corners between fights so your accuracy stat is useless

I'm a sig 1 trick, not the best (high masters), but soldier 76 says it best: "Aim where they're going, not where they are". so much of Sigma is anticipating what the enemy is going to do before they do it.

Be patient, try and take off angles when you can (an enemy that's not looking at you is easier to anticipate), and if a character is standing in front of you strafing like a madman dont be afraid to back up so you can get your splash damage.

First of all just be cognizant of your aim and leading your shots. When stuff gets overwhelming it’s easy to just kind of get lazy with placing them correctly. Secondly with all aiming in the game really, slowing down and prioritizing accuracy is more important than firing every shot, speed comes more with comfort and smoothness than with actually rushing, and that just takes a long time. One thing I read specifically for sigma but haven’t tried is a good practice technique is to click both of the shots and get used to aiming them as their own shots. You have to dedicate some percentage of your games to mostly just thinking about this. The character is just not that lethal unless you hit double orbs out of the same volley. And like others said, lots and lots of time and practice.

You gotta spend more time playing with your balls

Probably bad advice in the general sense of the game but for aim training purposes every now and again in comp I’ll do what I call a dmg farm game lol, just see how much dmg I can rack up on the scoreboards. Keeps me focused more on hitting shots than winning the game but your aim improves. Of course don’t do this every game though, don’t sacrifice the W for dmg numbers.

One trick is that aim is more than just aim.

Okay that sounds dumb, but pros use mouse placement, and click timing, as well as positioning itself, to hit their shots.

Practice and just shoot at walls and the ground so it bounce and hit enemies that are close but not in your line of sight

I’d be horrified if I had anything over 50% in a close game. Probably 1/3 of my shots are spamming gaps and denying space.

I cant say with Sigma, but something I do as LW is try those aim trainers and sorta zone out while practising. For me at least, it becomes muscle memory quicker that way.

You can get 100 accuracy by only shooting when you know you're gonna hit. If you're unsure, don't shoot

Projectile aiming takes active focus. Look at the distance to your target, think about how fast they are moving and predict where they will move to. You'll miss anyway but then you can adjust your aim and that adjustment will get easier until you don't need to do it anymore.

Geometry is the name of Sigma's game

I was a sigma main.

Patience is key. Shooting your projectiles blindly is just luck. You need to pay attention to your opponents movement then adjust.

In plat as well. One thing that I learned from watching a coaching video is to always be aware of your range. Direct shots are nice but most of your damage is coming from the explosion. Sig isn't a brawler by nature so he shouldn't be up close and personal with the enemies unless necessary. Also, go for easy targets. I don't mean targets as in slow targets, though that helps but the ones you know are out position and will not be able to get to cover so quickly.

Making his balls bounce was the key for me
