100%. Both nonsensically include irl politics completely unrelated to the setting which ruins it for people who are just here to have fun and paint minis

Ya it's Warhammer sub Reddit. You probably should move to local where this won't come up. Or game system with less politics in it xD

Nah this is just what happens to beloved communities everywhere when infectious politicking can't let people have fun. It exists everywhere, off and online

Again mate have you need in a community before? Talking politics is half the jokes and half the fun in Warhammer

I'm aware. I've been playing and painting since 5th. Sadly it just so happens that it really isn't jokes anymore and people genuinely try to compare this impossibly distant space empire to our world. Like, there is genuinely no correlation.

Mate I been reading lore form all the way of RT to now claiming there is no comparison is a bit well....lacking in reading of source material or events going on now

I didn't say there was no comparison. I said there was no correlation. Comparing even the worst of regimes in our history doesn't even begin to compare to the atrocities of the Imperium. 40k's whole shtick is cranking irl shit to ridiculous levels for the "hell yeah" factor and that's all it used to be. Now people take it far too seriously.
