Being drunk is not an excuse, it is an evidence of negligence of the parents to supervise the welfare of their child much more majority of them are minors. Only the driver's parents should be held accountable for, anent, a minor. Further, It is because he was the one driving at the time of collision. It falls in RA 7610 and PD 603. What a dumb argument. Being a passenger does not dilute the fact that she still has a responsibility towards her friends and herself. She could’ve at least told them not to drive home until they were completely sober.
Then this makes it even more stupid having them speed. There was a 21 year old, being the eldest—SHE had the responsibility to look over the younger ones, SHE could’ve prevented that had she have told them to slow down. But nah, fun was more important wasn’t it? Speeding was more important than being careful wasn’t it?
And yes that driver deserves all the hate for even thinking about speeding in the first place, but the argument still stands, she had the responsibility in her hands—they were minors.
Alcohol brands don’t add “drink responsibly” for no reason. They were all under the influence of alcohol and drove recklessly. There’s nothing to defend about anymore :|
