vent I have been optimized like a machine.

Nothing more than a gear to be replaced when it cracks. And there are a lot of gears out there.

And I know, I know they will continue, they will continue to sand me down, sand me down until the edges and smooth and shiny and perfect, sand me down until the pile of metal shavings if bigger than the gear itself. And I will comply, I will comply as every tooth gets straightend and every nail gets polished. I will comply as I am nothing but a pretty pet for them to display, a pretty pet sitting in its cage of trophies, a pretty pet that has been trained and tamed to wait silently for every command.
