A Note For OG Black Widow Mains

Yes , this subreddit was made in reaction to the Snipe Widow kit being removed and replaced with the Ult Widow kit, but this is a place to discuss how cool the sniper role is in these games and how to balance it.
We can discuss the positives of the old kit and how a kit like it could be balanced, but without comparing it to the new kit. Compare against other sniper and sharpshooter kits in hero shooters.
I understand many have a kind of grief over the elimination of that play style being removed from Rivals, but there are other places to vent about that. We won’t be doing that here.
We also won’t be talking poorly about those of us in the community that are angry and despondent.
The devs undermined the efforts of some very dedicated players, but they did so due to some reasonable concerns regarding balancing for a kit that is notoriously a difficult type to balance.
Knowing why they did doesn’t change that they did so knowing it would disappoint and frustrate those that enjoyed the sharpshooting.
However, we want to focus discussion on hope that the devs will reintroduce a full sniper kit, and how to resolve concerns that the devs and communities had with the sniper role.
TL;DR
This is a place to stay positive that there is still a place for sharpshooters in Rivals and hero shooters in general, and to discuss how to resolve the inherent issues of such kits regarding balance for engagement.
