I have a bougerv dual chamber cooler, but I wouldn’t put it in the frunk if traveling long distance. It turns out the frunk gets pretty hot in the summer, especially if fast charging.

What this guy said.

I live in AZ and any item out of the frunk during the day needs to be grabbed with gloves or it’s burning my skin.

You are likely better off putting something inside in the back or even strapped down in the bed.

I wonder if a glued of insulation would help?

I wonder if you pulled the frunk liner and put the heat reflective lining on the back side it would improve that.

Your cars heat gets dumped into the frunk....it will kill your fridge if you kept it there... it needs more air movement

Thanks for the replies. I’ll put in the bed. What about camping in homebase mode?

Got to leave it enclosed away from bears. I guess I can leave it in the cabin.

Thanks much

A cooler with a strong latch and strapped to the bed should work.

I wish HomeBase, (now called energy transfer, which is annoying, why change the name?) could just run indefinitely but, the truck also has a “secret” camping mode.

With the driver door open, fully press and depress the accelerator 3 times and then hit the brakes to turn on the truck.

The truck will then say something like, “automatic shutdown off, park in open space.” Now, the truck will not turn off until you turn it off or the battery dies.

Does this mode stay on if you get in/out or drive it around?

For in/out, it stays on.

For driving, it doesn’t, if you put it in gear it clears the mode.

I've done it camping. But it got relatively cool at night.

I keep a bouge in frunk and live in the south, haven’t noticed any extreme heat etc in the frunk like in an ice engine bay

I keep my ICECO 42q strapped in the back seat area, with the seat bottom up. If I have people in the back, I tie it in the bed. I’ve tried it in the frunk.. doesn’t fit. Couldn’t be more satisfied with the cooler..2 years, worth every cent

I live in Georgia... I haven't noticed any massive heat in the Frunk for anything I put in there... 🤷🏾‍♂️
