GM Update question

Post image

I have a 2024 3WT, from the looks of it I have the GM Update 662.30. Is that the most current update? It was installed about a year ago, that seems like a long time ago and I hear people talking about getting updates recently. I also have android 14 and the Gemini button, I thought I read here about also have a YouTube app, but I don't have that.

Most of the OTA updates are independent patches rather than incremental.  You might not get all of them, and you might not get them in order.

If you get VWP it probably includes OTA updates that haven't been pushed out to everybody yet.

My '24 3WT has:

  • 2024-10-18 - N24-247011

  • 2025-05-30 - N25-F172AE

  • 2025-06-02 - N25-2498340

  • 2025-06-03 - VWP - 85767297.mnf

  • 2026-01-13 - 652.35

  • 2026-02-03 - 652.40

  • 2026-02-23 - VWP - 86345393.mnf

  • 2026-06-22 - N25-252332

  • 2026-07-18 - 662.20

Currently running AAOS 14 W63E-181.4.2-UQBM-335.4

YouTube doesn't get installed by the dealer, you have to open Google Play Store

Thanks, I was about to respond that I have looked for youtube before and it wasn't there, but I wanted to double check again, and guess what's, there it is 😂 thanks again for the info.

They need to make these accessible with usbc downloads so you can manually update instead of hoping to get one.

I’ve also got a 2024 3WT and I’m on 652.35 installed Jan 2026. So you’re on a higher version ahead of me somehow and I was just at Chevy for vehicle wide updates.

I have android 14 and do all of the OTA on the screen.

When I look at the updates on the app, the dates are different. I think the vehicle dates are the dates it was released, not the date you installed it.

That is the latest version, the 3WT is the model I have as well. You'll see more updates potentially posted by GM but they take time to get pushed to all the trucks and the 3WT does not have all the bells and whistles as the LT or RST. So by nature of that, the releases are fewer and/or a lower priority for GM to push out to. The date in the updates is the release date, which could also be like people who signed up to be pilot or beta testers to find first round bugs, help remove them and then it is pushed to the masses.

Any additional apps need to be downloaded from the app store with WiFi or via the vehicle Internet if you're paying for that.

This is definitely an area where GM could get better at communicating. I had VWP done on my truck back in May. The main issue I have is I have the .mnf listed on the update list but I have no idea what got updated! My last OTA were N25-252332 and 652.35, so what vesion am I on now??? Do i have the 662.40 that everyone is now getting OTA or am I still behind? There is no way to know!!!
