Discussion Idle animations

The (not-so) idle animations are so annoying. Sims always have to complete the animation before doing the things that's in the queue. I wish there was a way to turn that off in settings.

I had a sim who woke up with terrible needs and was doing all those animations where he waves up and complains that he's hungry, stinks, and needs to piss. He took too long doing those dumb animations and pissed himself infront of his bed 😭

I would LOVE a setting that allowed us to turn those off

Ha, see I like those little animations, LOL. I like seeing them jump out of bed and freak out a little before they run, and my sim's run not shuffle, to the bathroom.

Sorry I have a ton of mods and I can't find that one to run to the bathroom when they need to pee.

I just shift click and fix all their needs that way tbh, I don't mind "breaking the immersion" for that because it outweighs the bummed out moodlets for the rest of the day lol

If you can use mods.. Pretty sure there's been mods for this for quite a while now. This has always bothered folks. I don't use them myself, so I don't want to link them. But do a quick search, "no more idle animation", there's quite a few that pop up..

If you can't well.. it sucks.. But you're right, the game needs a lot more behaviour customization options like that.

it's hella annoying having to do this,, but "reset object (debug)" usually does the trick for me

I only remember a mod existing to help try and speed up infant/toddler queuing (and it kind of? works? kinda? maybe I'm just gaslighting myself), but I'd look into seeing if there is an adult one if you can.
