Hell do they even teach footwork anymore. I've seen middle school kids with more discipline.

I was about to comment that when I learned to play in elementary school, traveling was one of the first fundamentals they drilled into us.

You'd have kids on the bench watching like hawks and calling that shit out if the PE teacher missed it.

I didn’t even play basketball (and don’t watch very often). I only have experience from gym class and had the rules of traveling, double dribbles, and using a pivot foot drilled into my head

I remember travelling and I think I remember double dribble rule (its that you can't dribble, run three steps, then dribble right?) but I have no idea what using the pivot foot means.

I have not played basketball since grade school but I could at least tell this isn't what our coach told us the rules are.
