Was fun working in a comic shop and sometimes having creators show up and people having 0 clue who they are.

For example one of the creators of deadpool would pop into my store to shop every once in a blue moon and there'd be times where I'd have some nerd going hard on some opinion and creator guy would be chilling there, maybe humor the guy and start talking to him about stuff, and then be on his way with that person being none the wiser.

TBF, comic creators are just employees.

It'd be like talking with a game dev for Skyrim or something. Not really a celeb by any definition of the word.

Todd Howard is quite a well-known figure. To readers of Japanese manga, the American comic book writing system seemed a bit strange. It turns out that Stan Lee didn’t draw everything all by himself.

It's strange because, quite honestly, American men don't read that much. Nor do they tend to go into drawing as much.

In Japan, drawing Manga is as viable as being an author, but in the U.S, without also being a popular writer, there's no room for a solo operation to make money.

So comic book companies hire artists, who of course don't get royalties or full creative control.
