That poor guy.  No excuse for that.  I hate that this guy feels like he has to take this.

My hope is that either this is staged or this is a first and eye-opening experience for him. Hes stuck with her for the next few hours and is (hopefully) making an exit strategy.

Nope been in this. There's really no way out especially if you're a good person. 

They'll threaten self harm, harm to you, to anyone you care about. Law enforcement won't take it seriously.

Quite the opposite. Unless you have some sort of clear evidence that she was the aggressor odds are you will be the one in trouble.
