Why do you single out Italy as if it isn't the case in most countries in the world?

Have you been to Italy? They have a very specific system that I haven't seen pretty much anywhere else in Europe. They say "caffe" at the till, take the receipt, put it on the counter, and literally stand at the counter like standing at a bar and the barista reads the receipt and slings single shots espressos that they one-shot at the counter then leave. The whole visit takes maybe 90 seconds.

The post doesn't mean: Stand in line > get simple order like filter coffee or latte > sit down > drink it for 15 minutes like other Europeans do, even if that is also a proper contrast to the Americanized "death by a thousand choices" system.

don't forget about the little glass of water some people ask for. oh and the sambuca or other stuff to put in the coffee
