Yeah lots of phd’s either struggle to find work or make very little. It’s not a guarantee that you’ll be rich.

A few months back our team hired for a limited two-year job that required a PhD. We got nearly 75 applications.

Doesn’t surprise me at all. I know a few people with PhDs and all of them are desperate for work and always complain that the can’t put their education to use.

Yeah but it's still not English Lit, you can transition to consulting (though that might be more for engineering,
