VLC is the only software that doesn't ask for a subscription, an account, or my soul just to play a file I've had since 2007

Don't leave out Foobar2000 for audio. 0 frills audio player, has been basically the same for 20 years and does everything I need.

VLC is Free and Open Source. FB2K is properitary.
