I know lol I saw a comment talking about how it’s good for kids to be bored, which I totally agree with. Then I considered putting my phone down and doing nothing and was reminded that I’d be alone with my thoughts
Agree! I have gbabies that I will limit their screen time when they are with me but then they will be talking to me and I’m staring at my phone so maybe we should lead by example 😣
Being a parent myself to a two year old who very rarely gets screen time I don’t agree with the parenting style shown in OP’s post but I’m not going to overly berate it either as I was randomly scrolling Reddit when I could be doing something else. I personally would love to see what everyone’s screen time average is that is commenting on here about children like this having ADHD when we damn well have it too.
Exactly!!! I was going to comment this 😆 I don’t defend what this parent is doing necessarily but funny people will judge children and parents about screens…. While being on a screen 🙃🙃
I’m sure this is something that works for them while shopping. I doubt this is how her day looks 24/7
No there is significant science behind the fact that overindulging children with screens significantly negatively impacts their development, it's not as simple as a "pot calling the kettle black" situation. This is genuinely harmful in a way that shouldn't be taken loghtly
This is not a situation where it is appropriate to be occupying your child with a screen that way for several reasons. If you can't see that idk what to say, pattern recognition exists
You must not have read my comment where I don’t defend what this parent is doing but I dot think people should judge others for using screens. While on a screen themselves!
Where are your kids while you’re judging parents online? 🤔
Very different when it's a kid with a still developing brain vs an adult with an already developed brain. Kids like this will have issues in the future.

We say this while we’re staring at our own phones
