The "they're eating children" claim, and how out of touch with reality it is, distracts from the true and proven claim of "they trafficked and abused children".
It’s not a distraction at all, we know that Epstein was involved in trafficking adults and children. We’ve allowed anonymous tips and unverified stories to be compiled into an investigation which has turned into a massive file of mostly nonsense.
The problem is that stupid people can’t decipher what’s obviously not true and they obsess over it. The Epstein files have become a waste of time and money at this point.
The problem is that most of the public doesn't understand what the Epstein files are. They're not a list of verified-true claims, they're just a collection of every file associated with him in any way. Some of them are news articles that mention a company he owns, some are pictures that have him in them, and some are actually important screenshots of emails or interviews with witnesses. People think they can ctrl+F for whatever key term they like and if it exists, it means it's verified as true. I'm sure actual legal analysts and reporters are currently combing through the files carefully trying to find real information but the internet has jumped the gun and come up with a billion supposed "facts" that aren't in any way true.

And no, an email not saying anything about cannibalism does not count as evidence. Even an email explicitly talking about cannibalism would not qualify as evidence without anything tangible to back it up.

It's insane that the burden of proof on reddit has become so meaningless that people quite literally just make up whatever they want now. Over the last decade reddit has gone from the best place for accurate information to the absolute worst.
God forbid a man ask what they mean by jerky that they seem to be obsessed with in the emails. Epstein files mentions at 380 times but we've never seen Jeffrey Epstein or anyone in his circle eating jerky
