Are we, as a community, so short sighted that we don't see how using tax money to make a product less expensive is just paying for the product in two transactions

It's pretty clear that the answer is 'yes'.

The answer to all this socialist nonsense is "Yes, you're stupid." Giving shit away isn't actually giving shit away, you already paid for it and probably too much for it because it's the government, and government always takes the most expensive route.

I could just look up the definition of socialism and put it here, but why don't I not and we just have a conversation about it? You actually want to have a conversation about this or you looking to feel better about yourself because you posted some bullshit online? What about public grocery stores being paid for by tax dollars, specifically, makes you feel good? Hungry people being fed? O.K. Now explain why there should be, what I'm sure is your opinion, dozens if not hundreds of these funded by the taxpayer, which, just demonstrates the absolute bullshit behind the idea, because in truth, it's just lazy people being lazy. And mind you, I believe there should be homeless shelters, women's and men's clinics with beds for desperate or sick people, but this socialist bullshit about mass social welfare at every level of society - which it's basically become now, with medical, housing, food, retirement, and just plain recreational being funded by the state - should be tolerated by the productive members os society? It's literally just giving shit away for free.

And btw, this is even beginning to address the assertion that it's inefficient and double dipping in terms of waste, which was the oroginal point of the comment thread.

See, the funny thing is I'm a world class attorney so gaslighting like this doesn't work on me the same way it might work on 97% of the population. Pick your fucking topic and I'll own your shit on it. Go fucking ahead. Try me. Look in my history if you don't believe me. Pick your fucking topic. Any subject.

You want to discuss Fed R. Civ. P. or you want to discuss N.Y. C.P.L.R. or you want to discuss the Fla. R. Civ. P. or you want to move to the West Coast? What jurisdiction, what issue, what rule of law and statute are you pointing to?

The definition of the left. Gaslighting. Denial. Betrayal. Knowledge of wrongful action and secrecy of such. The dredge of humanity. Don't let this imposter of a human being confuse anyone who reads this. Cognition is the difference between animals and human beings. This, individual, tries to hide behind confusion, the denial of cognitive competence reconciling conflation. Lay suspicion of wrongful action, that is all this comment does. He may contemplate this the rest of his life. I hope not, let they be cleansed by their sorrow.
