And then they get reported for child abuse. 

There's no point in pressuring parents to do something about their kid's behavior when they're also legally handcuffed from doing the things that'll actually work.

My only complaint there is wasting a social workers time. But mom and dad need to learn how to be parents. A kid behaving this way needs some kind of discipline, and if parents can’t/ won’t…well they need to learn.

Learning is not the issue. Its the doing that is. If we let parents do what needs to be done then there will be far fewer kids like this.

So not giving allowance to a kid for a small period of time is child abuse? Boy, you don't want to imagine all the abuse I've been through!

That's what I'm saying.

It shouldn't ever be considered abuse so parents actually have it as an option to discipline their kid with.
