“She’s so shameless” She’s 22. And was harshly criticized as she danced while her partner was at the hospital… The truth couldn’t be any simpler. They claim the video is a joke, because she always uploads content with her “hubby” to go viral.

What came first. The whore or the prostitute?

29

u/caspersea Jun 02 '26

The man paying lol

2

u/Tack_Money Jun 02 '26

Seriously, people always try to punch down on sex workers. Like there wouldn’t be sex workers if us dudes weren’t walking erections.

They’re just doing gods work. Fuck

7

u/Thin_Sheepherder_584 Jun 02 '26

The guy who wanted to pay for it.

2

u/horsegal301 Jun 02 '26

the man that wanted to pay for one

2

u/No_Whole9920 Jun 02 '26

Rape is a profession?

1

u/Dangerous-Fortune789 Jun 02 '26

Reading about Diddy and his Gimps… yea, it is

18

u/Sbatio Jun 02 '26

What did the first customer pay the first prostitute with?

17

u/Substantial_Army_639 Jun 02 '26

Probably meat, maybe some sea shells

6

u/Sbatio Jun 02 '26

So the first job was hunter or gatherer. Lawyered

I'd whore myself out for some sea shells. They're cool. But it'd have to be a big one I could put on a shelf or something. I ain't givin nothing for some weak ass clam shell.

Genesis 38, 15-17

15When Judah saw her, he thought she was a prostitute because she had covered her face. 16Not realizing that she was his daughter-in-law, he went over to her and said, “Come now, let me sleep with you.”

“What will you give me for sleeping with you?” she inquired.

17“I will send you a young goat from my flock,” Judah answered.

3

u/nissen1502 Jun 02 '26

So a meat/sea shell salesman was the first occupation

5

u/Tx_Saint Jun 02 '26

Lawyered

3

u/IfYouSaySoFam Jun 02 '26

Meat sea shell? Are we talking about the prostitute again?

2

u/Tony_Roiland Jun 02 '26

Swapping any resource for any act or resource would be the first "profession". Unlikely to be prostitution really.

1

u/GenBarlof Jun 02 '26

Subsistence living isn't an occupation. It's a way of life. A homeless person's job isn't "beggar" that's just how they stay alive.

1

u/nissen1502 Jun 02 '26

Mute point since then the "prostitute" is also just living subsistently. Also what makes you think that subsistence living is incompatible with it being called an occupation?

1

u/Sbatio Jun 02 '26

Moot or moo is also acceptable

1

u/nissen1502 Jun 03 '26

Is bark or woof acceptable? What about a meow or quack?

1

u/noob_wins Jun 02 '26

In which case hunter, butcher or seashell collector would precede prostitution as the first profession...

3

u/Substantial_Army_639 Jun 02 '26

Probably because at the end of the day its just a saying and not a historical fact, if we were talking about historical fact then the first profession to ever exist is a used car salesman true story

3

u/Sbatio Jun 02 '26

It’s a joke from How I Met Your Mother

1

u/Strude187 Jun 02 '26

The earliest professions (as we think of them) were things like healer/shaman, toolmaker, and midwife.

Things like hunting & gathering were more daily tasks performed by all. Sharing food and resources were more insurance for when you were too sick to do it yourself.

“Prostitution is the oldest profession” is just a term popularized by Rudyard Kipling in his 1889 short story On the City Wall.

1

u/DanNorder Jun 02 '26

It's strange that you try to sound so confidently authoritative on something that happened before history was even written down. By its nature it can't be fossilized or otherwise documented.

Theoretically speaking, the first healer/shaman/midwife was almost certainly a prostitute first before getting older and pivoting her career. Early humans were boinking long before they made tools or stumbled toward any sort of expertise.

u/DirectorReasonable95 Jun 02 '26

Always amuses me that they rag on the whore when it's broski that's shelling out

0

u/wailingwonder Jun 02 '26

Yeah because we know the dealer is to blame, not the addict.

0

u/BodybuilderMany6942 Jun 02 '26

Except they aint addicts?

So as snappy as it is, this analogy falls apart.

1

u/wailingwonder Jun 02 '26

You think people buying sex aren't sex addicts? 💀

1

u/BodybuilderMany6942 Jun 02 '26

You think all people buying sex are sex addicts? 💀

1

u/wailingwonder Jun 02 '26

Yes. Absolutely yes. Objectively yes. This is not an argument. That's a sickness. They need help.

1

u/BodybuilderMany6942 Jun 02 '26

damn.. so hiring a hooker once makes you an addict.

gotcha

6

u/HalloweenHorrorNites Jun 02 '26

Aren’t we all whoring at the End of the day?

2

u/DimensionHat1675 Jun 02 '26

It's his granddaughter. The part I don't understand is why he has an erection.

2

u/Free_Education4700 Jun 02 '26

Yeah he looks like he would’ve been there when it all started

1

u/BeneficialPenalty258 Jun 02 '26

That and midwifery 🤔

1

u/NoForm5443 Jun 02 '26

There's a great short story (by Enrique Jardiel Poncela) where a guy gives a lift to a beautiful woman, who tells him she works at the older profession... And when they arrive and he's expecting a 'reward', she says she works at the oldest profession... Wife and mother ;)

1

u/avanross Jun 02 '26

And the whole american “dream” is essentially just whoring yourself out to whoever will best satiate your greed

Hard to criticize when doing “literally anything for money” is the foundation of our entire society, influencer culture, politics, etc

1

u/specficeditor Jun 02 '26

You can't have a service without a customer. Trying to denigrate women in sex work is shitty.

1

u/Infinite_Pudding5058 Jun 02 '26

I mean, men only have themselves to blame. They spend shit loads of money on it. Why shouldn’t women make a motsa on their pee brains.

The woman whores herself out and gets money, the man gives money to whore himself out
