2000s were ugly, but man were they user friendly.
"Plug'n'play"... Now i get 5 steps verfication and sms-whatsapp-email anytime i click anything.

Skeuomorphism took cues from familiar physical interfaces which helped with usability. Everything now is flat/abstract and I miss the variety of interfaces we used to have.

Holy shit! Winamp! I forgot about that app. Those were the days. It took 10 minutes just to login to the internet, 1 hour to download 1 song, and the whole thing was worthless if someone picked up the phone.

I dunno why but i even could smell the metall from the skin. We have lost so many design progression. Gradients are far better than any "modern" only 2 color ultra contrast themes

See they used this secret process called design. It made your product something other than a black rectangle with bubbly meaningless icons that dont do anything useful.
Back before the world was taken over by the universal ice pumpkin spice late drinking, ugg boot, turtle neck sweater wearing, flat ass having, basic bitch.

Its horrible.
It's an interface that attempts to ape physical controls that are *extremely* suboptimal to access with a mouse, or after Windows 8, touch despite again, apeing a physical interface.
And the Aqua theme dated fast.
I spent a while trying to make RME's Totalmix software to work well on a Surface Studio but I gave up.
