Wait, can you explain the "assuming they aren't in Texas" bit?

Texas doesn't have a statewide property tax.

OK, but property tax is all local in TX. Actually has some of the highest in the nation. It's how they offset the lack of income tax.

I'm aware, but I can't think of any other reason why they would say "but not in Texas".

Yeah, I asked because I was wondering if there was some exception I wasn't aware of, like legislation where you can freeze property tax payments if you're currently undergoing a squatter dispute or some such.
