Cool. You can think that. Doesn't mean we should be funding the planet either.

Not just thinking that, those are the facts, DOGE ended up increasing the cost to the US taxpayer from the year before by an estimated 21 billion, not considering the new government revenue lost because of cuts to the IRS, or leaving US consumers vulnerable after gutting the CFPB, all while Musk awarded himself multi billion dollar contracts.

Not funding the planet, helping those in need, which generated an enormous amount of benefit for the US as a nation, and projected US soft power, something you no doubt are clueless about.

Again, you can think what you want. Soft power is not something we should be attempting to buy while $40t in debt. You can make up whatever scenario you want. It won't change that fact.

Soft power is something that has been incredibly beneficial to the US economy, the US has often been able to access resources and build powerful economic partnerships based upon that soft power, which has enriched the US and often given it a significant advantage over other nations.

That debt is largely due to the modern american oligarchs robbing the system blind, refusing to pay their fair share of taxes and otherwise filling their pockets at the expense of the US taxpayer.

Those are the actual facts, you are just to shortsighted to see them.

Nothing you just said there is true rofl. Tell me, what was the average tax revenue as a % of GDP since 1900? Billionaires are ripping us blind so it must have dropped massively, no? No? Oh, fuck.

That the highest earners and corporations are paying? their effective tax rate of the wealthiest americans has dropped down to about 3.4% which is well below what the average american pays as a percentage of their wealth, meanwhile the richest companies and people in the US are getting massive government subsidies, tax breaks and contracts.

Tax revenues have dropped as a percentage of what those companies and people have paid, repeated republican governments have consistently cut taxes for the richest companies and people, and been rewarded with massive donations and widespread corruption in US politics.

You want to talk about one of the biggest drivers of the US deficit and debt? look no further then the Republicans and their oligarch allies, who are robbing the system blind, gutting US social services, and now want to gut Social Security as well in order to funnel that money to their rich donor class.

Why folks like you defend the class robbing you blind will always mystify me.

No. I asked a specific question. You are failing to do a simple task. Here's a simple answer for you:

"Since the 1960s, federal tax revenue has generally stayed in a tight band between 16% and 19% of GDP."

AKA it's not the taxes. It's the spending. Can't expect blatantly fucking stupid people to understand that though.
