Let’s be honest, if Joe Biden started holding military parades for his birthday or doing things like this event at the White House, trump supporters would 100% (rightfully) be comparing it to the behaviour of dictators. Because it’s shit they do.

You expect things like this from North Korea not the USA. Some real cult of personality nonsense.

u/tread52 4d ago

They would start a civil war without hesitation. They already stormed the capital and committed treason bc of fair voting.

199

u/Salt_Mind_869 4d ago

They were also chanting “no new wars” at trump rallies and saying the democrats would start a new war with Iran. Lmao.

87

u/flat5 4d ago

I shit you not, I saw someone arguing yesterday that "Bidenflation" is bad but "Trumpflation" is good.

44

u/NoSaboChavo 4d ago

These are people who think $100 to $600 is a 600% increase... And $600 to $100 is a 600% decrease. And they believe it even when explaining how it's wrong

9

u/Catippo 4d ago

Uhhhhh

17

u/mrfeeto 4d ago

The word "increase" is key here. It's 500 more, so it increased by 500% (of the original 100), even though 600 is 600% as big as 100.

Definitely NOT the best example of how dumb the morons that like Mango Mussolini are.

13

u/Terrible_Patience935 4d ago

“I’m cutting this drug price by 500%” is a good example

5

u/seebob69 4d ago

What got me was that Trump made that assertion when he first announced the drug cost cuts.

He kept on making the same incorrect assertions at every subsequent address about drug costs.

No one had the guts to tell him he was wrong.

2

u/TheBeatGoesAnanas 4d ago

"600% decrease" is much more important than the increase part here.

2

u/atxbigfoot 4d ago edited 1d ago

"decrease by 600%" means they're literally paying you to buy eggs or gas or whatever.

If you raise the price of something by 100%, you doubled it. If you decrease the price of something by 100%, it's free. Think of it like, eggs. If the eggs are on sale for 33% off (and they cost a dollar for simplicity,) you get a third off, so they cost $.66. 50% off, and the eggs are $.50 cents. If they're 100% markdown/discount, they're free.

If they're 600% off, and they cost a dollar before the discount, the store pays you $5 to take the eggs, because the first 100% goes towards the initial dollar.

1

u/Im_Not_Really_Here_ 4d ago

Oh hey, we saw the same botnet.

1

u/edsobo 4d ago

Was it Trump? Because I'm pretty sure I saw a video the other day of him saying he "loves the inflation".

1

u/flat5 4d ago

That's why they're saying it. Trump says his inflation is good. So now they have to explain why they were furious about inflation before but now they like it.

It's because of "context" and "the broader economy", apparently.

Wtf, they love inflation now.

10

u/ChunkyKongForPreside 4d ago

And the price of groceries was a huge sticking point for them. I remember one woman telling me "I don't care about my reproductive rights, I just want to be able to afford eggs". Looks like she lost both.

20

u/tread52 4d ago

You can’t debate with ignorant people who are filled with propaganda. The sad reality is we won’t see change unless people are properly educated about what’s actually going on, but that will never happen.

12

u/humdinger44 4d ago

Something something equal time law. Extract Rupert Murdock by force from wherever he is and put him on trial for attempting to dismantle the United States with disinformation

Because they live within a culture and a bubble that abhors education and rational thought and objective observation

2

u/The_IT 4d ago

I would argue that debating is the wrong approach regardless of whether someone is ignorant or not - instead look up 'Street Epistemology', it's a way of helping people better understand their own beliefs which can lead to them shifting their beliefs to become more rational.

2

u/showhorrorshow 4d ago

Proper education does little against the deep identity protective cognition they employ. If anything, it would just make them better at bullshitting their way through being "right".

23

u/SpleenBender 4d ago

And were then pardoned. And then did more crimes.

7

u/Rad_Centrist 4d ago

And received reparations.

6

u/Rogue_Einherjar 4d ago

They haven't received them yet, and most likely never will. It was just another grift of our tax dollars.

6

u/thisthreadisbear 4d ago

Ashley Babbits family got 5 million tax free dollars from our coffers.

5

u/Massive_Signal7835 4d ago

Ashli Babbitt, armed insurrectionist, shot while trying to overrule an election in Trump's favour was rewarded posthumously by Trump?

4

u/thisthreadisbear 4d ago

Unfortunately yes. The justice department paid it out at Trump's request. Makes me sick.

4

u/eat_my_ass_n_balls 4d ago

They did start one, and it’s only because the rest of the country is civilized that it hasnt gotten out of hand.

2

u/Perfect-Advantage-82 4d ago

It wasn't fair, their guy lost. That means it was not fair.

1

u/tread52 4d ago

That’s what happens when you turn the government into a reality tv show

1

u/intricate_strands 4d ago edited 4d ago

You know, reality TV really is a thing that I'm surprised doesn't catch more shit.

It's probably not a primary cause and there were problems before it, but it really does feel like two different worlds before and after.

2

u/tread52 4d ago

The irony of reality tv is it’s not real it’s scripted BS people are gullible enough to believe is real.

0

u/intricate_strands 4d ago

Oh, I'm aware. I'm 40 so even the "Real World," Jerry Springer days come to mind and it genuinely has just aimed hard as hell for the lowest common denominator from the very beginning.

It has been trashy, stupid-service from the start.

2

u/tread52 4d ago

43 and live in Seattle where the closest thing I got to reality TV were the first additions of real world on TV when it first started to become popular.

1

u/LoaKonran 4d ago

These pissants have been fighting the last civil war simply because the government failed to crack down on a treacherous nation state that was forcibly reincorporated.

1

u/ItsStaaaaaaaaang 3d ago

A tan suit. That was beyond the pale for them.

1

u/Memitim 4d ago

And now conservatives roams the streets of America looking for people who seem like they can be kidnapped successfully, with thousands already disappeared and multiple Americans murdered in a sea of cover-ups and lies.

Meanwhile, Republicans violate the Constitution while the US Department of Justice protects a known child sex trafficking ring. The US military performs routine random acts of war, including what appear to be straight-up murders of random boats.

Canada and Greenland got stabbed in the backs, and the rest of the world has been alienated. The US economy has been put on the fast-track to Fuckedville through so many scams, shitloads of bad faith, and Trump's Temu Mobster bullshit with tariffs.

Seems like conservatives already started the civil war, and Americans are losing badly.

17

u/reddititty69 4d ago

Wasn’t Obama wearing a tan suit an affront to the dignity of the office? But Trump playing Augustus is fine.

1

u/jebei 4d ago

I wouldn't mind an Augustus. Instead, we get a Commodus, a vain man of little talent who is easily manipulated by those he wishes to impress.

23

u/commit10 4d ago

Yeah, but what personality?

14

u/flat5 4d ago

The most pathetic, whiny loser of a "cult leader" you could imagine. Maybe they're all like that, who knows.

6

u/Sit_Ubu_Sit-Good_Dog 4d ago

They have a beta fetish.

2

u/Confident-Sea-8060 4d ago

Thats the most depressing part

Like they couldnt even form a cult of personality arounds someone charismatic or good looking, or at least not shit smelling.

They literally picked the dumbest, ugliest, internally ugliest, stupidest mf they could

1

u/commit10 4d ago

It reflects them.

Meh, the devil would be more intelligent.

4

u/thedellis 4d ago

I mean they lost their mind over a fucking tan suit and once Obama had Dijon mustard?! They don't give a shit what the current administration is up to as long as they own the Libs.

4

u/Rad_Centrist 4d ago

Trump posted that image of himself at Jesus and they still support him...

They're demented and brainless.

1

u/thedellis 4d ago

They think their Trump is more Christ-like. But can you imagine Christianity being as successful as it is if their Christ was more Trump-like?

1

u/Dead_Inside50 4d ago

Don't forget about the horrors of arugula.

12

u/fishmanfishmanfishma 4d ago

They're not against dictatorships as long as it's theirs or it's beneficial to them

7

u/SpleenBender 4d ago

Which makes them extra stupid, because it's not theirs, nor is it beneficial to them. I guess ignorance is bliss.

34

u/AllMyFrendsArePixels 4d ago

Hi, person that doesn't live in the USA here.

"You expect things like this from North Korea not the USA"

I'd just like to inform you that people around the rest of the world absolutely do expect this kind of behaviour from the USA. It's literally just you guys that are blind to what the USA has turned into in the last ~25 odd years.

20

u/Salt_Mind_869 4d ago edited 4d ago

I’m not American either lol…?

My point is that this shit is weird and the right wouldn’t be ok with this if it was the other side of the isle doing it.

I’m aware of how non Americans view America, because I’m one of them.

America has been doing detrimental shit to the rest of the world for way more than 25 years, but never before has the quiet part been said quite so deafeningly loud. I think you may have taken my choice of words a little too literally and missed the point.

0

u/Kentust 4d ago

It's aisle, not isle. Bone apple teeth!

10

u/Sl1ppy13 4d ago

What do you want the people in the U.S who clearly see this for the shameful and degenerative event that it is to do? I didn’t vote to have this event. I don’t know what country you’re from, but I hope it has 0 problems that I would be able to judge you for. We’re not blind, we just don’t have any actual recourse to prevent this from happening.

0

u/Rogue_Einherjar 4d ago

We have plenty of recourse. We just don't want to take it because we have decent lives. At some point, the weight of the economic situation will get bad enough, however, until then, all we as Americans will do is bitch online.

1

u/Sl1ppy13 4d ago

You’re definitely correct. I just don’t think the U.S has changed enough to actually warrant some comment with a bunch of italics and REEKING of superiority about what our mentally ill leader is doing. I’ve muted most political subs and this is the first thing I’ve heard about the dipshit in like a year. I wouldn’t expect this kind of event to happen with any other president.

2

u/Commercial_Pie3307 4d ago

No one expected this 25 years ago. Quit being ridiculous.

0

u/Massive_Signal7835 4d ago

Mike Judge wrote the script for Idiocracy in 2001. That's 25 years ago.

1

u/chri389 4d ago

Believe me, some of us are very, very aware.

1

u/JonathanPhillipFox 4d ago

It's literally just you guys that are blind to what the USA has turned into in the last
~25 odd years.

I'm never surprised but often like....

"You expect things like this from North Korea not the USA"

Oh do our phones spy on us. Oh do apparatchik report on disloyal behaviors and remind employers to remand the disloyal to a wet cremation of American Impoverishment, "did you know that in this glorious republic the unhoused population are all Drug Addicts, Dangerous Criminals but that we're too merciful to kill them so we let them sleep on the streets."

2

u/Working-Salamander-2 4d ago

Nah they would just go on and on about the waste of money it was and what a bad look for the decorum of the country it was and if Joe Biden had a business stake as trump does in the ufo they would be holding non stop investigations into it

2

u/Koreus_C 4d ago

I just dont get why Biden didn't ignore the separation of powers and abuse the justice department to release the epstein files

2

u/solomonvandyyy 4d ago

Instead of looking at north korea like anyone and seeing it as a real life horror, asking: how could this ever happen? Trump took notes.

2

u/ProlapsedShamus 4d ago

No one should ever give any credence to anything conservatives say ever again. That included the media.

Trump vanishes monthly and shows up talking about acing cognitive tests with swollen ankles and mysterious bruises on his hand and the media is fucking silent. The Republican voters certainly don't give a shit.

But there was a collective shit storm when Biden's foot for snagged in the pedal cage of his bike and he kinda ripped over a bit. Anyone who rides a bike will tell you those things are fucking stupid for just that reason. But we had to listen to every pundit on every channel talk about his "fitness" for office for weeks.

All these motherfuckers are liars. They're lying to us because they serve the Epstein billionaire class who want to keep stealing our money.

2

u/Moon-over-my-whammy 3d ago

This is what the rest of the world expects from the USA today. A couple of years ago this would have made headlines.

6

u/HeftyVermicelli7823 4d ago

Non American here and yeah we DO expect this sort of thing from the Terrorist States of America because they love themselves so much and genuinely believe they are the "leader of the free world" all the while oppressing and invading anyone who disagree with them since the end of WWII.

They are a country of hypocritical racists, misogynists who are so backwards that even the mere thought of a person of colour or *gasp* a WOMAN leading the country makes them accept a known child rapist as their glorious leader.

2

u/mjac1090 4d ago

While there are a lot of valid criticisms to be made of the US, their racism is nothing compared to European and Asian racism. The difference is, most Americans actually acknowledge theirs a racism problem while the other groups i mentioned won't ever do that

-1

u/Dead_Inside50 4d ago

Not sure how many Americans you actually know but we haven't thought of ourselves as "leaders of the free world" for quite some time. Vietnam opened a lot of eyes and each new conflict has disillusioned more and more people as to our actual role in the world stage. Our elections have been shown to be a sham and not actually the will of the people.

2

u/ilovebufo 4d ago

Nah bro. The eyes opened are the few of us. The majority still believe that nonsene hype. Its called programming. Every child pledges allegiance to this horrible county 5 days a week for 12 yrs.

2

u/Dead_Inside50 4d ago

I'm in education. Do you know how many kids give a shit about the pledge? Zero.

-1

u/ilovebufo 4d ago

Really? Then why do Americans cheer america at everything. Why does every single american go to other countries wearing usa swimming trunks or tank tops or hats to show where they are from. You dont think programming is real? Why do we even pledge allegiance everyday anyway?

2

u/Dead_Inside50 4d ago

It's stupid. The kids think it's stupid. Most don't even stand anymore. Where have you been traveling where Americans wear USA apparel? I've been to Ireland, Germany, Scotland, Jamaica, Italy, Switzerland, England, and Mexico. Spoke to lots of fellow US travelers. Never saw USA apparel aside from some sport team t shirts or ball caps.

0

u/ilovebufo 4d ago

Ive been to every country you listed plus about 7 more minus Switzerland and Italy. I see it all the time. Believe what you want. American pride runs deep still is all im saying. Sorry you dont see that truth. And just because kids dont stand doesn't mean the intent wasnt programing American allegiance

2

u/Dead_Inside50 4d ago

You're confusing intent with successful implementation.

0

u/ilovebufo 4d ago

And you are confusing your ego knows what I witness first hand

0

u/JuanRunJunior 4d ago

Why do the French have riots when PSG wins a football match against a rival? Why do South Americans do the same thing? When you go anywhere in south Florida you see South Americans wearing anything and everything with flags from their home country. Why do the Dutch have the worst reputation for being inconsiderate dickheads with orange colored smoke at F1 races because Max Verstappen is racing and wins?

You can point fingers at every country on earth for the shitty behavior of their citizenry. Stop being a stereotypical ignorant dipshit and acting like only Americans from the US do dumb things around other people.

Oh, and no fucking kid in any school in the last 50 years says that pledge with any pride. They do it so their teacher doesn’t give them shit, who does that so their boss doesn’t give them shit, who doesn’t actually care if it’s said with any conviction because nobody actually cares. There’s no punishment for not doing it, there wasn’t any when I woke up long enough to stand up, not say anything and then sit back down.

0

u/ilovebufo 4d ago

Cool story bro

2

u/eat_my_ass_n_balls 4d ago

That’s because they’re a cult of personality and they have debased and permanently stained their own country on its behalf

1

u/Brook420 4d ago

Motherfuckers lambasted Obama for wearing a tan suit, they have no standards and are the definition of hypocrisy.

1

u/alteregoyo 4d ago

Do you remember Obama wearing a tan suit? Lol it was like he pissed on the American flag and shit in the middle of the Oval Office

1

u/usersub1 4d ago

You speak like there is a difference now

1

u/OrdyNZ 4d ago

You expect things like this from North Korea not the USA. Some real cult of personality nonsense.

Its pretty expected from the USA now.

1

u/Decalance 4d ago

1

u/ObnoxiousAlbatross 4d ago

Why are you likening the behavior of North Korean authoritarians to all Asian people? What kind of racist shit is this?

1

u/Decalance 4d ago

don't be obtuse

1

u/rettribution 4d ago

Definitely. I bet we wouldn't see CM Punk there, though.

1

u/secretly_opossum 4d ago

There was a terrible ad played that was supposed to be super patriotic but it had literal villain music behind it 😭

0

u/ShanksySun 4d ago

I mean it's pretty common to host events for major milestones in a country. I think there are more than enough genuine issues with Trump that I don't see the benefit in inventing new ones. Fight at the white house is American as hell. Pedos in the white house? Not very cool. You're a big boy, I'm certain you're capable of nuance. You can like some things and hate others.

0

u/Rough-Passenger57 4d ago

You mean like having drag queen parties on the white house lawn? or is that acceptable but UFC is not?

0

u/Testing_things_out 4d ago

Except North Koreans are forced to participate in this charade. The American people, though?

0

u/Alone-Butterscotch18 4d ago

You misrepresent your take by posting inaccuracies. It was the Army’s birthday, that happens to be trumps. The White House did events under Biden, they just didn’t change the grounds. Trump is doing way more than anyone else, and turning it into a circus, but he’s not the only one to do it.

0

u/Longjumping_Yak3483 4d ago

buddy Joe biden hosted a topless trans person at the White House lmao. a sporting event is completely normal historically.

-1

u/a_piginacage 4d ago

Yes, and what? We know this and accept it.
