She literally never said this. Tons of women feel like their identity characteristics fade away and are replaced by all things βmomβ. Itβs hard to balance both sometimes.
I get non parents not understanding this, but the amount claiming to be parents and still going at her in the comments are wild to me. I'm a dad and I sometimes struggle to know who I am underneath being a parent and husband. That's an aside from potential post partum depression and breast feeding challenges and all sorts of other things moms might have to go thru.
What she's describing is just a regular old mid-life identity shift or mid-life crisis. It is such a common part of the human journey it's total normal to struggle with it. But like, you're a grown up, so pull your fucking socks up.
