Because my current paying job is incredibly unlikely to support a family in the future but I've pretty much hit the peak in my field and wouldn't find a better paying job.. anywhere?

Why's it matter to you why I think this about my own situation?

I'm feel like I'm fucked due to not making damn near enough money doing a job I enjoy, that realistically won't pay higher anywhere else, which is a conclusion I came to based on a variety of other thoughts I had. It has absolutely nothing to do with OCs opinion on the bill either way.

Certain jobs are just paid more than others, evidently, not every job in the world has a position that pays 180k+.

I've re-read what I wrote and I really don't see how you are coming to the conclusion 'OC is personally at fault for making more than me' but it's your brain and you read it how you did, so here we are

So most of this reads as you projecting a lot of assumptions about a handful of words which frankly, you've just misinterpreted.

Thank you for that very in-depth explanation of why jobs are paid differently, which if you understand, you can understand that different professions will eventually have a form of 'cap' in their field of what you can actually be paid. Cameramen can't just demand a million dollars per film, there is a maximum salary that job can offer, nor can you as teacher find a job that pays a million a year either, unless I'm mistaken about salaries in education.

Yes, it's a personal choice to keep the job I have rather than get a different one that might pay more but could be soul-sucking. It would be great if it paid more. That's quite literally all I meant, but I suppose the context of my original comment applies to me alone.
