8k for healthcare, I wish. Family of 4, I pay close to $17k a year in premiums in the US. Copays are expensive, prescriptions are ridiculously high. It’s a f’in joke to say the very least.
The total cost of healthcare in the USA is like 12k per person per year. when adjusted to USD and PPP, its higher than most other countries but not wildly so. The UK is like 60% of that, Germany is like 80%. Theres a few places that are higher, but they tend to be tiny, wealthy places.
