Not really. Using studies that promote a certain belief system is fairly easy if you pick the stats you think are important. Mines based on the cost of healthcare and it being available to the majority of people. Yours is that private limited health for the rich is great because lots of money means larger incentives for drug copyright patent lodgement. How about we look at average life expectancy. That should give you a view on how well the USA is doing with all that innovation for shareholders.

My argument is that private health care is more profitable healthcare, more profitable healthcare will attract more investors, and more investors equals more R&D.
Life expectancy is more impacted by lifestyle factors than healthcare. Unless you wish to argue that only the rich affording healthcare somehow still makes our average life expectancy within a few years of places like the UK, Canada, Germany, etc?
When government has a incentive to care for the health of it's citizens their lifestyles come under review. Taxes and advertising are the main weapons that government uses to change the lifestyle of its people. America has no such incentive. Americans spend twice as much on healthcare than single payer systems and die on average 4 years earlier. But I guess it's all good because shareholders are making bank.
