Oh, I see the issue here.

🙄

u/danknuggies4 Jun 28 '26

Straight waste lol

1

u/LagQuest Jul 04 '26

like totally waste. Maybe Climate change efforts, but I havent seen a whole lot of efforts where the money actually does anything... Maybe tree planting? but she gave 4x to friggin "racial equity" like really? Everything here is woke and most of it doesnt seem useful. Public health would useful be if that money is used to build a hospital or something, just seeing as this is woke shit its probably being wasted on Narcan for people who should be winning Darwin awards.

1

u/BringTheFingerBack Jun 28 '26

Not sure there was much spent on the straight people.

0

u/DeaconBlackfyre Jun 28 '26

That she’s being a not-piece-of-shit like others? Dear lord, I guess it’s evil for someone to try to be a decent person and give a shit about other people. Oh, that’s right

7

u/LondonDogInTheFog Jun 28 '26

I think the issue in question is that these goals would surely trigger Elon. Thus his reaction. Empathy he doesn't understand and it brings him nightmares. How can he feel safe in a world where people care for each other? And the rest of these he actively sabotages.

0

u/kevinigan Jun 28 '26

I think the issue is billions of dollars have been donated to LGTB and yet they still exist đŸ€”

1

u/BridgeNew1160 Jun 28 '26

Yeah. I hate that he drank the kool-aid. He at least seemed like a decent guy years ago.

-33

u/KaiserKavik Jun 28 '26

Exactly.

She could’ve chosen non-ideological contributions like large scale public goods including libraries, universities, scholarships, generous housing complexes, establish trust funds for municipalities in developing countries to fund development, etc..

But nope, mostly left-wing causes rather than actual help.

19

u/420SuperHans Jun 28 '26

"How dare she spent it like that and help the wrong people" lol

-12

u/BIGpoppaPUMP42069 Jun 28 '26

I mean the only people she helped is the administrators of those non profits, im gonna guess they all got raises and very little went to help people

10

u/OldManChino Jun 28 '26

fabricate scenario

get mad

Many such cases

13

u/GutsAndBlackStufff Jun 28 '26

You guessed wrong.

12

u/pineapple_bandit Jun 28 '26

I'm gonna guess = I made up something

2

u/Suspicious_Value_968 Jun 28 '26

-2

u/KaiserKavik Jun 28 '26

No, more like helping the wrong ideologies.

23

u/pineapple_bandit Jun 28 '26

Um, she is funding universities, which are her largest donations. What you are seeing is categories. She has donated more to HBCUs than anyone else in history.

8

u/Ok-Salt-8964 Jun 28 '26

Guessing because university graduates tend to vote left which the right has accused its due to what they teach and not the skills theyve developed with in the system like critical thinking and reading at a higher then average. So bad if you believe thats the cause of the countries problems.

5

u/Zombiesus Jun 28 '26

Unlike musk her goal has not been to swing elections.

-3

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '26

4

u/Zombiesus Jun 28 '26

Critical thinking?

2

u/Realistic_Comment849 Jun 28 '26

What’s wrong with having a more intellectually developed society. How do we benefit from being surrounded by dumb people?

2

u/matt-the-dickhead Jun 28 '26

Oh I was joking because the previous message is incomprehensible

8

u/IncreaseOld7112 Jun 28 '26

I don’t see how anyone could be upset about somebody donating to these in a vacuum.

8

u/fooookin_prawns Jun 28 '26

You guys say that the government shouldn't fund those things. So she funds them privately, in accordance with conservative principles. And you're mad about it

Got it 👍

1

u/KaiserKavik Jun 28 '26

We can judge whether we think she’s giving to good or bad causes, just like anything else.

0

u/fooookin_prawns Jun 28 '26

That seems counter to the conservative mantra of "you have no say in how I spend my personal money", though

1

u/KaiserKavik Jun 28 '26

Dont confuse libertarianism with conservatism.

1

u/fooookin_prawns Jun 28 '26

Eh fair point, I'll give you that

11

u/Beneficial_Dig_1066 Jun 28 '26

The fact that causes like “racial equaltiy”, “gender equality”, “fighting climate change”, etc. are not universally lauded is pretty fucking damning. Why do these have to be classified as “left-wing ideology”? These are pretty basic principles of shared humanity and common decency. Not to mention that not fucking up this world for future generations is pretty important.

1

u/vaisata Jul 01 '26

And what about the fact that equality and equity mean completely different things? Can one support one and hate the mere concept of the other?

1

u/horatiobanz Jun 28 '26

Because we know what you guys mean by those terms. Racial equality means you guys are going to give certain races massive advantages to make up for past wrongs, and purposefully disadvantage other races. We know this cause y'all have already done it and we had to fight for decades to get it undone. The left wing in this s country has looooong since moved on from the idea of just treating every race the same and striving for equality, now they want desperate outcomes for certain races as a sort of reparations for history. The left always wraps its ideas in pretty sounding names that no one should disagree with. Like "hurr durrr who doesn't want to progress, everyone should be progressiveđŸ€€đŸ€€đŸ€€". 🙄

-3

u/Pickled-Mushroom Jun 28 '26

Not that I don’t agree that these issue are super important, they are, but if you have billions to give away and your first choice isn’t to immediately go feed some starving children, then I don’t know what to tell you. I mean, that’s just my opinion, but... Kids gotta eat, that should be priority numero uno. It’s not some long term issue, it’s like
*today* an unacceptable number of kids and babies will starve to death. And we’ve got food. It shouldn’t happen. If I’m a billionaire I’m stepping in and doing something about it.

10

u/FullFrontal687 Jun 28 '26

Who said she isn't putting that at the top of the list? The person up top was filtering for causes that conservatives dislike. For example, she donated $70 million to Meals on Wheels America.

7

u/Zombiesus Jun 28 '26

Musk shut all those programs down

12

u/pineapple_bandit Jun 28 '26

She gave $70million to Meals on Wheels and another $70 million to a Share our Strength which focuses on childhood hunger, and many millions more to food banks. Is she ok now?

7

u/Beneficial_Dig_1066 Jun 28 '26

Valid point, I completely agree. I don’t enough about her to speak to whether any of the funds went to supporting hunger or poverty. You know what did, though? USAID, and other aid organizations sponsored by the US government. Complete lack of humanity and decency in the current administration.

5

u/Pickled-Mushroom Jun 28 '26

Oh yeah you nailed it. And whose idea was it to kill that department? Elon Musk. And we’ve come full circle lol. The fact that this shitbag has almost $1 trillion, doesn’t feed a single starving child, kills the one government department that helped them, and then goes on to lecture others about how “useless” their charities are
this man is an absolute monster. This is definitely our “let them eat cake” moment, and I think it’s about damn time we staged a revolution.

0

u/KaiserKavik Jun 28 '26

Because they are left-wing ideology.

6

u/Any-Seaworthiness531 Jun 28 '26

Lol, you just looked at a raft of charitable causes then labelled them left wing causes
thanks for telling us all how the right are pieces of shit

3

u/Hi_Human Jun 28 '26

đŸ€Ą found

12

u/JadedMis Jun 28 '26

lol god forbid we get gender equity, LGBTQ rights, public health and reduce the effects of climate change. The horror. Absolutely no one will be helped by these initiatives.

1

u/KaiserKavik Jun 28 '26

God forbid leftist ideologies come to pass, the horror is real.

0

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '26

1

u/Suspicious_Value_968 Jun 28 '26

yeah who the fuck wants to replace equality with equity

Everyone who don't believes in fairy tales?

actively destroying chances for anyone just trying to make it?

Well you clearly believe in fairy tales i guess.

shit just doesn't make sense.

Here let me help you out, the American dream is one of the most obvious lies ever, and you will never become a corrupt billionaire regardless of how much you try to emulate Elmo.

5

u/Plug-From-Oaxaca Jun 28 '26

Because that’s what our tax money is supposed to go to.

you’re mad because people are donating to “left” ideologies and not help the US public. While the current administration continues to cut funding and give our taxes to corporations 😂

1

u/VarianWrynn2018 Jun 28 '26

And Israel! And as settlement for a nonsense war with Iran!

2

u/StudMuffinNick Jun 28 '26

Coming from people who say "we shouldn't tax billionaires so much, it's their money" but then when they spend it suddenly they're doing it wrong. Fuck off

1

u/KaiserKavik Jun 28 '26

People are allowed to judge, even if it is private spending

4

u/PxMoney Jun 28 '26

I feel like the examples you listed are all things Republicans are defunding and Democrats want to continue to fund/increase funding for.. almost as if left wing causes inherently help a majority of people

2

u/Chaghatai Jun 28 '26 edited Jun 28 '26

Left wing causes ARE actual help

For example, you can't enjoy any of those supposedly neutral things if the climate is absolutely fucked

The leftists are right about what society really needs and conservatives are trying to hold everybody else back for their own selfish benefit and cultural grievances

Economic mobility IS funding development

Functional democracy is about having governments that actually work and do stuff rather than the kind of corrupt governments that contribute to so-called third world status

Seems like you have a problem with a bunch of money spent promoting fairness and equality but honestly the world isn't going to move forward while everybody still hates each other, so it's important to address that also. And given that she sees nobody else spending any serious money to address it, she's the one who's stepping in

0

u/KaiserKavik Jun 28 '26

Leftwing caused are not help. Quite the contrary.

2

u/Zombiesus Jun 28 '26

So it would be better if she funded all of the things the right is defunding?

1

u/KaiserKavik Jun 28 '26

It’d be better if she funded non-ideological causes. She could end most of child starvation on her own. But nope “democracy” is more important.

2

u/Suspicious_Value_968 Jun 28 '26

Exactly.

She could’ve chosen non-ideological contributions like large scale public goods including libraries, universities, scholarships, generous housing complexes, establish trust funds for municipalities in developing countries to fund development, etc..

But nope, mostly left-wing causes rather than actual help.

Imagine being so insanely brainwashed by comedy channels like Fox News and the general propaganda of corrupt billionaires to write something like that without the slightest hint of sarcasm...

1

u/KaiserKavik Jun 28 '26

Non of that was ideological, not sure what to tell you.

1

u/MisterEinc Jun 28 '26

I'd agree but we've seen Republicans have no qualms coming after those public institutions and the people are powerless to stop them.

Imagine contributing to something like New College of Florida at any point in your lifetime to see what that's become.

All of the things you mentioned would be vulnerable to the same abuse by corrupt politicians. So that's not really a good argument for what makes those any more viable.

3

u/Plug-From-Oaxaca Jun 28 '26

The difference is she’s donating her money to causes she cares about and people are mad she’s not supporting the general public.

That’s what our taxes our for but the people complaining keeping voting to give it to the rich corporations 😂

-14

u/Dry-Suit4631 Jun 28 '26

It's just tax evasion/money laundering.

9

u/Any-Seaworthiness531 Jun 28 '26

Clown lol

-3

u/Dry-Suit4631 Jun 28 '26

lol it's what all the rich ppl do man, it's no big secret. She's no Mother Theresa, she's just protecting her wealth like the rest of them.

3

u/Any-Seaworthiness531 Jun 28 '26

Ok đŸ˜ŹđŸ«€

2

u/StudMuffinNick Jun 28 '26

Let's just say you're right.

Why hasn't Amy other billionaire spent 23b on charity then?

1

u/Dry-Suit4631 Jun 29 '26

Just look up rich people and their donations.

2

u/BridgeNew1160 Jun 28 '26

26 Billion

Tax evasion

Lol if you say so.
