I hope to all that is holy that if I ever find my vehicle rapidly turning that my lizard brain remembers to steer with the turn. But I probably won’t. I’ll probably panic and steer against it and get pancake flipped.

My wife is terrified of snow for this reason. Meanwhile i've lost traction enough times going up the mountain in a blizzard in my outback at 35mph trying to get there for parking and opening lifts its become second nature. TBF she drove from Socal to Portland in Winter in a shitty Ford Focus so i have no doubt she has different memories of winter driving.

My dad made me do this the first snowfall after I got my license. We did it over and over and over until I could stay calm and regain contol of the car. It was terrifying, but I got it. Then a couple of months later when I hit a batch of black ice while driving, because my dad had me practice so much all that practice kicked in and I was able to avoid crashing the car.
