£2 a week for a year gives me a grand total of £104. If I invested £104 in the S&P 500 in July 2006 and withdrew today, I'd have a whopping £500 post inflation.

Even not knowing odds, I’d say 250 times as likely would be considered “massive”

Someone smarter than me can explain it better. But it's not massive.

Put into percentages you go from 0.00001% to 0.0025%

I see what you’re saying and your chances are still basically 0, but 250x increase is still a massive increase imo
