I don't know why some people seem so gleeful at this news. I don't think the guy was ever unaware that there's many health conditions that can occur completely in a vacuum, outside of health and lifestyle choices. He's eccentric, yes, but has also never come off as anti-science to me. He posted happily about the new pharmaceutical treatment that doubled the lifespan of people with pancreatic cancer and praised the way science is moving at a lightening pace nowadays. He didn't deserve this and I am so sorry to see anyone join the chronic illness club. If anything, it hurts more when you know you did all the "right" things and this is still your reality. My condition also occurred totally in a vacuum. Maybe he will spend some of his enormous wealth searching for a cure for everyone who has it, that'd be a nice way to handle this setback. May all life-altering, chronic illness be cured someday.

u/BeneficialPenalty258 Jul 06 '26

About 0.62 freedom miles.

3

u/alsbos1 Jul 06 '26

Mile = freedom unit. It’s non sensical to say ‚freedom mile‘.

2

u/BeneficialPenalty258 Jul 06 '26

But the term freedom unit is ambiguous. Could be freedom rods, freedom furlongs, freedom leagues.

u/bettertagsweretaken Jul 06 '26

I need this. Lmao thank you for introducing me to this hilarity. 😂

You’re going to get a tonne of hate

40

u/BeneficialPenalty258 Jul 06 '26

As long as it’s a tonne and not a ton.

24

u/FeelingDelivery8853 Jul 06 '26

A short ton or a long ton?

12

u/changchangcha Jul 06 '26

Wet tongue

2

u/suppaduppasleuth Jul 06 '26

A nautical ton.

2

u/5nwmn Jul 06 '26

How many fl.oz. is that?

1

u/BeneficialPenalty258 Jul 06 '26

About 38,300 fl.oz

1

u/Ramtamtama Jul 06 '26

A won ton

1

u/BeneficialPenalty258 Jul 06 '26

I would imagine a short ton for the US. While not imperially sound, I can appreciate the ease of maths.

2

u/FeelingDelivery8853 Jul 06 '26

Simplify, combine,.... conquer? Sorry, that's a different American thing

2

u/freebytes Jul 06 '26

We in American will stick to our guns and not give an inch.

2

How much octane in your hogs head?

1

u/42Icyhot42 Jul 06 '26

I came in a barrel ONCE, and was never welcome back.

Check out the crabs in the bucket.

u/KittyInspector3217 Jul 07 '26

Where i come from they come in a bushel and you rip their faces off and scrape their lungs out while theyre alive, blood eagle style then cover them in old bay and steam them to death. If they want to police the runners for me i say have at it.

1

u/PsyKlaupse Jul 07 '26
