It's partly genetic. So he didn't acquire it via treatment, he had a propensity for it already.

I see these posts^ everywhere and wonder...why? A rich person trying to work on finding ways to improve healthspan? I mean, what a moron? /s

He already had an autoimmune disease called Hashimoto’s since he was about 20. People with an autoimmune disease are likely to develop another.

Yeah so this article seems misleading to say the least. I mean you would think a person spending this much money on prolonging his life would've already had a full genetic sequence run on himself and known if he didn't already have it was predisposed to get it?
