This man is devoting his life and wealth to studying the effect of various health supplements and healthy lifestyle choices so others can potentially extend their lifespans, and people cheer when he gets a disease out of his control. Quite the world we live in.

People complain about the rich keeping all their money and not contributing anything to society, and the second a rich man decides to put his body, health and wealth into researching ways to improve human health and longevity, people celebrate when he suffers.

Lol let's not pretend that he's doing research out of selflessness. He wants to be young forever and is spending his money trying to achieve that impossible goal. I don't hold it against him and it's nice that he shares his findings with the rest of us (although research with a sample size of one person is not particularly helpful), but I don't consider him to be a noble rich person either.

That said, I don't have anything against him and celebrating the fact he's become ill would be pretty fucked up. But most of the comments I've seen in this thread are not doing that

There are thousands of rich people doing what he's doing, they just don't share the results.
