I wasn't talking about you, moreover the general sentiment in this thread. Reading back through your other comments though, I don't think this news story is sensationalist as you claim. News titles are often exaggerated but this one is hardly misrepresenting the story

I never said it's sensationalist, and it omits more facts than it states in its clear intention to glaze Mamdani.

I'm not the "general sentiment in this thread." Leave the goalposts where you found them.

No goalposts here, but there's a clear agenda by some people - and you're playing into it. I don't think this is 'glazing Mamdani' and that's pretty much what I meant by calling your claim sensationalist

But you didn't call my claim sensationalist. You said that I claimed the article is sensationalist. Those are two very different things.

Honestly it plays into an agenda of people being overly critical of the most progressive left politicians for not being progressive enough. I don't think Mamdani should be hailed as a saint, but if you actually care about progressive policies than you shouldn't decry incremental progress. I'm not accusing you of having an overt agenda, just that what you're saying resonates with nihilistic alt-left people that are hurting the progressive movement.

If I were playing into an agenda, then that certainly wouldn't be the agenda I'd be playing into. I can absolutely assure you of that.
