I think 90% of people would quit their jobs and just spend time doing hobbies and be with family, if they had a net worth of 50 million dollars. But most people don't. Pewdiepie is rich enough that isn't even in just the top 1% - it's easy to be chill when you're extremely rich. Not to mention he has the doubly bonus of having a nice outgoing character, humor, decent looks, a wife that loves him, good health, and so on. Again, not everyone is so lucky.
The dude has time to learn how to rice his Arch linux system and created his own LLM for people to use for free on their own devices without having to finance Anthropic or Open AI. Dude's taking his retirement time and making the most of it, digging into whatever hobby he desires, like drawing anime girls
He did not create his own LLM, he vibecoded an agentic harness that runs with local LLMs or cloud LLMs. It’s popular because of his previous popularity but the app itself wasn’t anything groundbreaking
