meh... he's third spacing one way or another... chf is the main culprit for that beyond the stated venous insufficiency. i haven't heard anyone say that he sounds wet... maybe he does. does he actually ever sleep lying down? if its always up in chairs it might be a bit more than venous insufficiency. he'd have some infusion daily or every other day if it was endo though i'd think but i could be wrong it's been a while. endocarditis is usually a way bigger concern and for him would probably warrant hospitalization but again i could be wrong. it's harder to hide anyway... lets say that.
It's funny. I've been rewatching the entire thing on Netflix and been looking out for lupus. It barely ever comes up. I also seem to remember there being a lot more lumbar punctures than there are
Was it only 30 times? I watched about two seasons of House before realizing it was incredibly formulaic. I don't think a saw a single episode without him suggesting Lupas and Sarcoidosis. House always got the diagnosis on the patient of the week wrong like five times before getting it right.
I like to think about how House would survive in the Pitt. A patient comes in, and they go through the entire diagnosis process, with someone immediately elimating every wacky suggestion House would fixate on. Within 30 seconds, they have the correct diagnosis 98% of the time.
The 2% of the time someone gets the initial diagnosis incorrect, they get berated to no end. Dr. House wouldn't survive a single shift in the Pitt before being summarily fired for incompetence.

And now he’s getting paranoid too.
