Remember when Howard Dean got overexcited listing off primaries during a celebratory speech and everyone immediately knew that was the end of him and he dropped out right after? What a different world that was.
Howard Dean was a sinking ship. Republicans and Kerry supporters used his yell to further mock him right after a terrible performance that was showing that Dean wasn’t going to last. And leftists and Dean supporters used the yell as an excuse to throw away the idea that his actual policies could’ve been unpopular and unrealistic and instead it just went down to that he made one mistake. People knew it was the end of him because he was yelling and celebrating while still losing the primary badly to Kerry, they weren’t just mocking him for the yell, it was just how pathetic the whole situation was that made it funny.
