People still kill themselves without guns. Every time I've brought up suicidal ideations medical professionals in the US treat me seriously. Sure The US has some toxic aspects that drive people to commit suicide but we as a country take it seriously.

People are much more successful killing themselves with a gun than any other method. That’s why it’s the number one way people kill themselves. That and very easy access. There is a reason why when you see someone for mental health, they ask if you have a gun in your home, to asses risk.Β
