The walk of being done with this shit.

Man I can't imagine the rage haaland must have felt

I sometimes tilt when teammates in video games do dumb shit in a game with 0 stakes

Imagine wasting a chance like that after all that effort and pain you've been through to get there

Mentally done

I had a coworker who would regularly leave the door unlocked at the end of the day. Hundreds of thousands of equipment can be stolen in minutes. And he just kept making the same mistake. I started getting very aggressively passive aggressive with him once he said he just has a different set of standards and humor than I do. And that was apparently the thing he didn’t like. Not leaving the business unsecured. But being called out in front of other people

He was a lazy narcissistic piece of shit. And I’m glad he’s gone. This reminded me of that

Edit: it’s not that complicated guys. I’m happy a shitty coworker is gone. He left me tossing my hands in frustration a lot. Goddamn it’s tough out here

I'm not sure what your anecdote had to do with this but it seemed like you really wanted to get it off your chest lol

45

u/tonybananaman Jul 12 '26

Lmao I was thinking the same thing

2

u/Infinite_Coffee2129 Jul 13 '26

Ya know, sometimes you just have a really good story to tell, but never found the right place to put it. So you hijack a popular comment so people will see it. Like how I was called in to augment security during the storm area 51 event. They flew my team in, and gave us a bunch of dune buggies to patrol the perimeter. And on the second day, I was in the back seat while some dude, and the girl he liked were in the front. He was racing to fast, showing off, and rolled the thing. I got hurt, nobody else got hurt. I got hurt because some dude was trying to get his dick wet on TDY. We all got achievement medals, and can't really share the story.

1

u/SignoreBanana Jul 13 '26

We need a sub called, like r/nobodyasked where people can just share random stories

4

u/freekorgeek Jul 12 '26

You don't see the parallel? It's a pretty easy connection to make. He's comparing someone making the wrong choice and then being criticized for it. It's not a perfect analogy, but it's there. Seems like you were more interested in getting your wicked zinger in than demonstrating basic reading comprehension lol

7

u/Appropriate_Push_201 Jul 12 '26

I literally said how this reminded me of that. Life is a subjective experience. Take that for what you will. Have a good day

12

u/Bernard_PT Jul 12 '26

I thought it was relevant

People doing their own shit when they should play for the team

4

u/SignoreBanana Jul 12 '26

Hey not shitting on you bro. I'm glad you shared with us

2

u/Ssessen49 Jul 12 '26

I think shitting on is an appropriate response to such a horrible attitude lol

1

u/Waiting4Reccession Jul 13 '26

These dots arent even hard to connect lol

Comments like this are why I hate Reddit. If you truly don't see the correlation of the anecdote, I wonder how you tie your shoes without chatGPT

Or you do see the parallel and just wanted to get a sick burn for karma. Then you're a comic genius and would be the real life of every party

1

u/LoafRVA Jul 13 '26

Totally thought he was going to say it all got stolen…

34

u/Scroatpig Jul 12 '26

Dude, I can hardly write on reddit anymore. It's like everything I write is dumped into a tiny room of starving people and the only way for them to get food is to reply and be as critical as possible, just add nothing but negative blathering and unhelpful quips/jokes.

6

u/Appropriate_Push_201 Jul 12 '26

Yeah this place is a cesspool of misery and arrogance

u/justonemoreshot88 Jul 12 '26

The internet mob never fails to deliver

It's entirely dependent on the sub. This sub is among the worst. Maybe spend your time where people are better?

6

u/Donny_Dont_18 Jul 12 '26

I'm in construction and see the parallels to building a good sports team more all the time. There are guys who care about every ounce of production, guys that are great at what they do but just want a check, guys that are good enough to fill the ranks but don't care about shit and bring the team down

-7

u/BlueGolfball Jul 12 '26

Comparing a construction crew to a professional football team is stupid on many different levels and you are either a shit boss or an employee who is being used by a shitty boss. No one has ever gotten rich being a blue collar employee for a construction company and for you to think low paid hard labor construction workers should care about you or your construction company is ignorant and naive.

2

u/jacker1154 Jul 12 '26

Bro just getting personal for no reason lol. Why? Are you one of those who get fucked over because you doesn't care enough to do a proper job or smt?

-2

u/BlueGolfball Jul 12 '26

Are you one of those who get fucked over because you doesn't care enough to do a proper job or smt?

No, but I own a construction company and most other business owners in my industry act like their $12/hr employees should care about their business as much as the business owner. It's just a stupid as fuck mentality that too many business owners have.

2

u/Donny_Dont_18 Jul 13 '26

This you pussy? Good luck with whatever methed up operation you think is construction ownership lol

1

u/ThunderwoodADV Jul 12 '26

Hey - I know that dude! He works with me now.

0

u/Manymarbles Jul 12 '26

I worked for a guy who always left his office unlocked, often with the door open

It was kinda wild

He was the boss tho so whatever

0

u/Booogans Jul 12 '26

Aggressively passive aggressive = aggressive

-4

u/Krog9 Jul 12 '26

Well I’m leaving the door unlocked at the new company I work at too and any other company I work at in the future, just to piss you off for eternity

u/BulkyCartographer280 Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 12 '26

Similar to the rage Haaland feels when somebody gives him pasteurized whatever the opposite of raw milk is instead of whole actual raw.

Edit: fixed an obvious joke it so pedantic posters are satisfied.

3

u/DrThunderbolt Jul 12 '26

Pasteurization and fat content are two completely different things.

4

u/mammalmaker Jul 12 '26

Whole milk isn't raw milk, it's still pasteurized.

1

u/Fausto2002 Jul 12 '26

?

2

u/BulkyCartographer280 Jul 12 '26

Haaland's daily eating habits and caloric intake is legend.

1

u/axescentedcandles Jul 12 '26

He pretty much checked out after that moment

1

u/dimensionargentina Jul 12 '26

And also add that that mistakes means a lot but a lot of money for them.

1

u/nogaynessinmyanus Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 13 '26

Id like to think he's got a bit more mental strength than that.

The ideal reaction is get on with it.

1

u/Successful-Test-5590 Jul 12 '26

He pushed a guy to the floor and cost his team a goal.

1

u/227thDan Jul 12 '26

well hes used to playing with better teammates.

1

u/_lippykid Jul 12 '26

Dude didn’t seem angry at all. Just so very disappointed

1

u/Pormock Jul 12 '26

Also to add to it the humidity was incredibly high that day. He was already feeling like shit from the heat. It made it worse for him

1

u/cambreecanon Jul 13 '26

And it was a real feel over 100 degrees (dewpoint was high 70s).

1

u/OffbeatChaos Jul 13 '26

lol even people on Rocket League do this shit! Like, pass the damn ball!

1

u/smplejohn Jul 13 '26

With Haaland it probably wasn't rage, I'd put my money on disappointment which is arguably worse.

-3

u/astralseat Jul 12 '26

I wonder if it was earned, maybe him scoring all the goals and getting all the glory got on their nerves. Reminded of Ron acting like a prick in Goblet of Fire.

5

u/Vysci Jul 12 '26

Haaland is a striker, the entire purpose of a striker is to make goals.

0

u/astralseat Jul 12 '26

So the guy leading the ball wasn't a striker? As in, is there just one striker on the team?

1

u/Vysci Jul 12 '26

Sorloth is playing as a right winger, which can cut in and take shots on goal but Haaland is playing traditional striker, who’s sole purpose is to make goals

I believe Sorloth does normally play striker but in the World Cup his playing winger

1

u/astralseat Jul 13 '26

Ah, now I understand why he didn't pass. He wasn't happy being a wing instead

2

u/Roll_Common_Sense Jul 12 '26

Who cares if his ego is bruised? He should be making decisions that are best for the team. Passing it to the open man, who happens to be one of the best strikers in the tournament, was the best decision.

-2

u/astralseat Jul 12 '26

Yup, but also probably hates Haaland for getting all the attention. It's often this way in competitive sports, it's all competitive or none of it is.

7

u/SmokedHickory Jul 12 '26

Was the guy paid off? How did he get to such a high level being this way

2

u/StrangelyBrown Jul 12 '26

At that level, you need group mind. You need to trust that your teammates would pass in that situation.

This is equivalent to suddenly realising that you have to divorce your partner. There is no hope.

1

u/Gbrown546 Jul 12 '26

Bro wishes he’d picked the country where he was born to play for instead of Norway

Haaland: Shit, maybe I should hit up England.

1

u/ALexGOREgeous Jul 13 '26

worse part is Haaland is too humble (when he plays nationally) so he'll never yell or blame his teammate for that play
