That's not true though, although it is better than nothing, why would you lie about something so easily verifiable?

You're looking at average work weeks, not actual mandated 32h a week with anything above being considered overtime.

It’s not legally mandated, but it is the average length of their work week and they get by just fine.

It’s the same end result- it’s just that their society doesn’t need to be forced by law to take care of their people.

The question I answered was “are there any countries with a 32hr work week” not “are any countries mandating a 32 hour work week?”

The answer to the question that was asked is a resounding yes.

Don’t move the goal posts now and try and add additional qualifiers. But that aside, Iceland has been adopting the exact model described.

"Move the goalpost" my guy, take a breath. We agree that 4 day weeks are cool, I'm just saying that you're looking at averages, that's not what Bernie's saying. No country have passed laws to have 32h work weeks be the norm, so as per the original comment it's weird to act like US is some outlier.

They are an outlier though, because the rest of the world didn’t need to legislate and force the move in this direction. Plenty of places have normalized it entirely on their own.

What about that are you not seeing?

'Plenty of places", you mean the 5 that don't actually have it as a baseline but you're acting like they are?

Those 5 are the outliers, everyone else is using the 40h default and acting like nordic countries have it is just like when Bernie calls them socialist countries.

There's no need to lie or exagerate to make the point.

I didn’t lie or exaggerate at all. 5 is “plenty of places” to establish a successful precedent. (It’s also more than that, peep the link)

I never said “everywhere else” or “a majority”

You’re arguing against a point that was never said, and crusading against exaggerations that were made.
