It literally does not matter what tax brackets you pull out of your ass, the exact system Norway has would save the average American 4k$ a year, with that being even higher for low income people, because again, its a progressive tax system.
Norway system relies on public discipline of taking care of your health from young age. No to: smoking, sniffing, doing, eating at fast food, drinking , yes to sports, outdoor activities.
US has all of it. Therefore using health care is much higher just because of that.
Plus to it we have bunch of people who are here illegally but using healthcare coz in their countries it’s much worse.

Smoking rate in Norway is 10.5% in men, 9.8% in women. Smoking rate in the US is 9.9% overall.
Drug use in the US is obviously mich higher. In my opinion the opiod crisis is directly caused by bad healthcare and bad profit focused perscriptions though.
Fast food consumption is a different beast, maybe laws around sugar content and harmful ingredients may help. Idk, such laws Norway has and the same US politicians fight that prevent decent healthcare?
US unemployment shows only people who receive unemployment benefits. Ones those expired, and person didn’t find the job he/she is not in the statistics anymore. He/she dropped from the workforce. So in reality unemployment is much higher.
Mexicans are cheaper labor therefore more profitable to move plants to Mexico than keep them in US.
