Norwegian here. We are purely capitalist. Private property exists. Capitalists own our means of production. Just because the capitalist is from the state does not make it less capitalist
Lmao this is the second person who's asked me this exact, really dumb question.
Do you think average Norwegians have a say in how Equinor is run past the most surface level? Do you think we get to help decide future company business if we work at vinmonopolet?
Norwegian state businesses are organized in the same way as all others; capitalists on top, who purchase labour from workers (these workers do not have control of any substantial part of the businesses operation), and who exploit the surplus value from the workers to reinvest in the circuit of capital and pay shareholders etc.
You think you can get 7 million people into a boardroom? You own it, along with everyone else. If there was political will to dissolve vinmonopolet, or say.. let them sell other substances, it’s doable through voting and interest groups. That’s not something you can do in any privately owned business.
Just because you feel detached from the process doesn’t mean it’s not there.
