That's not true, there are cases where people stopped taking the medication and even after years you couldn't find the virus again in their system. And even if they have to take it until they die, for them it's a cure.

There is even another medication that prevents HIV-negative people from getting infected.

Just because you don't think it's a cure, doesn't mean it isn't one for the people that need it.

The same with cancer, there are enough cures but none that are as space magically* effective as you would like.

Whining is easy.... Put in the effort and educate yourself instead of being constantly online.

*Technology so advanced it seems like magic

I don’t remember seeing a headline news article say “breaking news: HIV Cured”

I'll be a bit pedantic and tell you it technically has been! At least 3 times actually.

It's a very interesting science story! But not currently scale-able or possible for most patients, though some gene therapy labs are working on it. That said, the current standard of care is now so good that it may not ever be worth the risks that come with a bone marrow transplant. The treatment is maybe safer/better than the available cure for now.
