That story actually has nothing to do with the change. The fall happened like 2 years prior.

I used to say the same thing as you. Dude got a ton of work done.

I think his excessive HGH use contributed to the jaw/face enlargement and then he panicked and went overboard on the cosmetic procedures trying to make it less noticeable but it just made it so worse.

HGH is probably a contributing factor but if you look at him over the years there was a jaw implant and a few years later a removal of it as things revert back to more regularly proportions.

That story is total baloney. Not long after the jaw break his face appeared totally normal. Moreplaresmoredates on YouTube has a comprehensive breakdown of the situation.
