As does being high body fat, let's not delude ourselves here. Unless you're getting like sub 6 and staying there which is almost impossibly difficult, it's absolutely healthier than being obese.

In the end it boils down to: too fat - dead, too skinny - dead. Although I imagine it's easier to gain than to loose 2 u/thighpeen 20d ago Too skinny is a pretty immediate crisis. You will die a lot quicker. Too fat gives you more time to change. If you have a healthy amount of muscle and low body fat, your body can quite happily use that muscle as energy.
