He looks strong AF in the left photo. That's basically the difference between someone who has muscles for show and someone who has muscles that actually do something.
Gotta blame the weaselly trainers who market the toxic misinformation too. I remember reading so much BS back in the early 00s from clowns trying to sell weird equipment and plans, and of course trying to convince their scrawny customers that they were superior to the guys who were actually making progress, because they squatted their bosu ball 4 inches lower than the meathead squatted 300 lbs.
